Round 2 of Douglas Shire Council’s Community Support Program opens on Monday 2 February with applications for funding of local community projects invited.
The Program assists not-for-profit organisations to develop events and projects focussing on community participation in sport and recreational, cultural and artistic, environmental or community activities.
Funding of up to $2000 is available under the Community Support (Minor) Program, and up to $10,000 under the Community Support (Major) category.
Mayor Cr Julia Leu said she was delighted to announce the second round of the Community Support Program.
“These events, projects, programs and activities funded under the Community Support Program significantly contribute to our community well-being, providing opportunities for the community to participate and be involved,” Mayor Leu said.
Council is hosting an information session at the Mossman Administration Building Thursday February 5 at 10am for anyone interested in applying for funding.
