Does Brexit make you or someone you know want to exit? Having trouble getting over the hump of President Trump?
Douglas Shire Council has done all the hard work for anyone looking to emigrate to Australia with its new Discover Paradise Relocate Resources Pack.
Mayor Julia Leu said as the only place on Earth where two World Heritage-listed environments meet – the magnificent Daintree Rainforest and breathtaking Great Barrier Reef – the Douglas Shire is ideally positioned to cater for professionals looking for a sea or tree change.
“We’re situated only one hour from Cairns International Airport, we’ve got a vibrant local economy experiencing record tourist numbers with a strong agricultural sector, and we’re blessed with a local community that embraces people from all walks of life,” Mayor Leu said.
“And for anyone looking to emigrate to Australia, we’ve done all the hard work for you with a wealth of resources about our local economy, community, environment, lifestyle opportunities and real estate prices included in our Discover Paradise Relocate Resources Pack.
“We’re not influenced by the politics of Brexit or President Trump, but we do see an opportunity to promote the opportunities available in the Douglas Shire to those who may be looking to emigrate in these uncertain times.
“The Douglas Shire is well and truly open for business, Council has just approved an $85 million redevelopment of our marina with a number of other major projects in the pipeline and we’re keen to open our doors to people who want to live and work in the best place in the world.”
