REGISTRATIONS are now open with the Learn-to-Swim program set to return to the Mossman Pool next month.
Douglas Shire Council is now taking bookings for the popular nine-week program which kicks off on Tuesday 5 October 2021.
The classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday for children aged five months and older.
Council’s Sport and Recreation Officer, Renee Ker, said the learn to swim program has been a hit since it first launched in 2019.
“These classes are a great opportunity to introduce your babies and toddlers to the pool environment, or for young swimmers to get more confident in the water,” she said.
“They can not only get kids active and comfortable in the water at a young age, but also save lives.”
“Swimming is a really fun way to keep yourself fit and beat the heat heading into summer.”
Various morning and afternoon sessions are available.
Each class costs $25 if you would like to pay week to week, or you can pay $180 upfront for the full program.
You can register your interest online at via Council’s website or call the Mossman Pool and Caravan Park at 0417 768 266.
Once you have registered, a staff member will be in touch to organise a suitable class for your child to attend.
