Water Supply Interruption

As part of Douglas Shire Council’s water reliability strategy, operational maintenance is being conducted on critical water supply infrastructure to improve water reliability for the residents throughout the Shire. The purpose of this maintenance is critical for testing the interconnecting pipework linking the Mossman Scheme to the Whyanbeel Scheme.
This work will require two-hours of testing for properties in Miallo, Rocky Point and Wonga Beach from the corner of Scomazzon Road, Miallo, along Mossman Daintree Road through to Wonga Beach. As well as properties along Miallo Bamboo Creek Road, Miallo.
During the work, it is expected that properties between the corner of Scomazzon Road, along Mossman Daintree Road to Rocky Point through to Wonga Beach, as well as properties along Miallo Bamboo Creek Road, Miallo, may experience pressure fluctuations and a small number of properties may have no water.
