Douglas Shire Council, and contractors, will be undertaking minor pruning works on the streetscape trees in Port Douglas centre.
Scope of works includes:
- Removal of dead wood
- Crown thinning to improve tree structure and airflow
- Minor reduction pruning where required
- Road clearance pruning
- Aerial inspections of tree canopies
All pruning will be carried out in accordance with AS 4373-2007 – Pruning of Amenity Trees to maintain tree health and ensure public safety.
External traffic control will be in place, and some car parking spaces will be temporarily used as part of the work area.
When: 28 & 29 April, 8 & 9 May and 12 & 13 May
