Just a 15-minute drive from Port Douglas, the Mossman Pool facilities offer members and guests a 50m olympic pool with a large retractable shade cover, a toddler and wading pool, both fitted with permanent shade structures.
Pool opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 6.00am – 7.00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (the pool is closed from 12pm-12:30pm on Saturday and Sunday)
Public holidays: 10am–3pm, except New Year’s Day, Australia Day public holiday, Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Hours are subject to change.
Mossman Show Day: 9am – 5pm

The Mossman Pool offers children’s learn to swim classes, and aquafit classes of varying levels .

Olympic Pool (50 metres)
Mossman Pool has the only 50-metre olympic pool in the Douglas Shire. The pool facilities are used extensively by the Shire’s schools for coaching and carnivals, our local swimming club, residents, guests of the caravan park and visitors to the region.
Learn To Swim
Mossman Pool’s Learn to Swim program supports children to build confidence, water safety awareness and swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Lessons are available for a range of ages and abilities, from young children beginning their swimming journey through to developing swimmers looking to improve their technique and progress to more advanced skills.
Our structured program focuses on:
- Water confidence and safety
- Fundamental swimming skills
- Stroke development and technique
- Individual progression based on ability
- Building confidence and enjoyment in the water
Classes are delivered by qualified swim teachers at Mossman Pool, with swimmers placed into the most appropriate level based on their age, experience and current swimming ability.

School Carnival and Learn to Swim
Mossman Pool offers multiple options for school carnivals and learn to swim programs. With our friendly team of lifeguards and accredited AUSTSWIM instructors, the Mossman Pool is the perfect place to teach your child how to swim or hold a school aquatic event. Please complete a school carnival or school learn to swim request form and a staff member will be in touch to confirm your booking.
