Our libraries are not just places where you can borrow books for free, or places where you can access the internet or use a printer.
They are more than that. Public libraries are community spaces.
For example, we offer free IT classes, workshops, events, story time.
The library provides opportunities for strangers to meet and social interactions to occur, as well as opportunities to learn and grow.
We also offer safe spaces for community groups to use our facilities for at no cost.
One group is the University of the Third Age (U3A), which use the main library space in Mossman to play Mah-Jong.
