Right to Information
Douglas Shire Council is committed to providing residents with open and transparent access to information about council’s services, activities and business operations. Procurement
Douglas Shire Council undertakes procurement for the carrying out of works, goods, services and Information Communication and Technology (ICT). Council must utilize procurement to advance the strategic priorities and outcomes of Council whilst achieving value for money with probity and accountability.
Complaints
Council’s approach when dealing with complaints allows for fair and detailed consideration. A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction by an affected person about an administrative action of Council, which in the judgement of the receiving officer is of sufficient substance to warrant action under the Complaints (Administrative Action) Policy.
Roles continuum
Council performs many roles in the community, from information provider to regulator. Council’s roles continuum defines its role in every activity Council is involved in and provides clarity on Council’s contribution.
Public Interest Disclosure (PID)
Council’s Public Interest Disclosure Policy outlines its responsibility to ensure that public interest disclosures are compliant with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 (PID Act) requirements to investigate all public interest disclosures.
