Assessment of Operational Works applications seeks to ensure that works are completed to the relevant standards and in accordance with the FNQROC development manual, the Douglas Shire Planning Scheme and the Planning Act 2016.

Operational Works

Operational Works includes road works, stormwater, water infrastructure drainage works, earthworks, sewerage infrastructure, landscaping, signage, and clearing vegetation under the planning scheme.

Operational Works – How do I apply?

Operational Works are applied for under the Planning Act 2016 and are to be built to the standards as set out in Far North Queensland Regional Organisation of Council (FNQROC) Regional Development Manual. Operational works under the planning scheme includes:

  • earthworks;
  • road works;
  • stormwater;
  • water infrastructure;
  • drainage works;
  • sewerage infrastructure;
  • landscaping;
  • signage; and
  • clearing vegetation.
