After participating in the Queensland regional resilience strategy project delivered by the State government in 2021-22, Douglas Shire Council wants to apply the regional resilience process on a smaller scale to develop seven local community scorecards.
Natural hazards affect our people, our places and also our economy. Access and continuity of employment and trade is essential for a vibrant community. Council is therefore also preparing an eighth business focussed scorecard with further dedicated business oriented workshops aimed at understanding the range of impacts faced and economy-specific resilience. A workshop specifically for businesses is planned for Mossman and RSVPs are requested.
Date: Monday 31 October 2022
Time: 4pm to 7pm
Location: Mossman Shire Hall, 8-14 Mill Street, Mossman
