First Five Forever
What is it?
First Five Forever is a statewide program that aims to help parents build strong literacy foundations for all Queensland children aged 0-5 years. We create sessions that focus on talk, read, sing and play – and give parents the tools to feel confident to do it at home.
Why it’s important
In their first years of life, a child’s brain forms over one million new connections every second. Research shows the first five years last a lifetime and that simple, everyday activities with you help to make these connections strong. Talk, read, sing and play together every day to build a strong foundation for your child’s future development.
