About the Role:
As the Manager Maintenance & Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, and execution of maintenance services across council assets including roads, parks and gardens, civil infrastructure and public facilities. This role is critical to ensuring our infrastructure is safe, functional, and aligned with community expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team delivering maintenance and operational services.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and service performance to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and community stakeholders.
About You:
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance, operations, or asset management—preferably within local government or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure, work health and safety standards, and contract management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Business Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
