Council are pleased to announce the launch of a Community Recycling Trial, aimed at making recycling more accessible and convenient for residents and visitors north of the Daintree River.
As part of this initiative, dedicated drop-off bins have been installed to support the responsible disposal of recyclable materials. Accepted items include:
- Clean plastic bottles and containers
- Paper and cardboard
- Glass jars and bottles
- Aluminium and steel cans
Please note: Plastic bags, food waste, and other non-recyclable items are not permitted.
This is a trial program, and its continuation will depend on community participation and correct recycling practices. By taking part, you are helping to divert valuable materials from landfill and contributing to the protection of our local environment.
