Lower Daintree Boat Ramp & Floating walkway
Important advice for boat ramp users
Douglas Shire Council on behalf of Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has partially removed the floating walkway. The damaged lower section of the walkway was deemed unsafe for use.
Planning for a replacement floating walkway is scheduled for May with construction starting in July 2026.
The remaining floating walkway section may be used on higher tides.
