Clean up assistance

The SES offer ‘washouts’ for homes that have been inundated with water following a natural and declared disaster.

The SES will coordinate this task with other agencies to use a high-pressure hose to clear mud and debris from homes.

This is not a sanitary clean just a hose out to remove the mud and debris.

Residents can request a ‘washout’ service from the SES by calling 132 500 or you can also request assistance online:

  • Lodge a request at 132500.qld.gov.au; or
  • Lodge a request on our SES Assistance QLD App, available for both Apple and Android devices.

Residents should remove furnishings, appliances, including fridges and freezers, and personal items from any area that needs to be hosed out. Items left in homes can be damaged by high pressure water.
