The Senior Library Officer will provide support to the Team Leader Library, assist in development and training of Library Officers, systems, policies and procedures. Performing a range of work tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality library services to the community.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role in a library.
  • High level of computer skills including experience using a range of technology such as computer software, scanners, photocopiers and handheld devices such as tablets, e-readers and smart phones.
  • Ability to maintain and compile statistical information for reporting to Council and State Library of Queensland.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to undertake tasks and duties in a logical and objective manner.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work as part of a client focused team.
  • Problem solving skills including dealing with difficult customers.

This position is full time permanent.
