Douglas Shire Council will be commencing drainage works near the corner of Grant and Mowbray Sreets in Port Douglas from Monday, 21 October, 2019.
Crews will be clearing vegetation and build up of silt to help alleviate flooding issues in the vicinity.
The works are being carried out under permit in accordance with Douglas Shires Marine Plant Management Strategy and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Waterway Barrier Works.

Access to residential properties will not be affected during these works.
