Dredging operations at the Daintree River Ferry Crossing will commence at 2 PM Thursday, 24 July 2025. These operations will continue for four hours.
The Ferry will maintain its regular operating hours without any disruptions whilst dredging takes place.
Traffic control measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of both workers and motorists at the site
Dredging is necessary to ensure the continuation of ferry services during low tides, as sand buildup from flooding can impede operations.
