Council will be conducting geotechnical testing on the approaches to the Daintree River Ferry from 15 – 17 September 2025 as part of preparation works for the upcoming landside infrastructure upgrades.
Traffic delays can be expected on the northern approach to the ferry, however the area will be fully traffic managed throughout the works to ensure the safety of road users and contractors.
Impacts to the southern lanes will be minimal. Please allow extra travel time if using the ferry during these dates.

What to expect: Minor delays – traffic control will be in place.
