Douglas Shire Council is seeking a Community Recovery Resilience Officer to join the Corporate and Communities team for a maximum term until March 2027.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Tertiary qualifications at Advanced Diploma level or higher in disaster management, community development, health and humanities or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Current Queensland “C” Class drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated achievement in project/program management, including developing, implementing,
- Monitoring, and evaluating projects/programs.
- Demonstrated analytical and written communication skills to produce
- Comprehensive briefings, meet reporting requirements and contribute to funding proposals.
- Significant achievement in building effective internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with a proven track
- Record of working effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to foster a collaborative positive work environment.
- Ability to engage with disaster affected individuals and communities with empathy, sensitivity and cultural awareness
