Summary
Douglas Shire Council requires replacement of the existing ultraviolet disinfection system at the Port Douglas Wastewater Treatment Plant due to a catastrophic un-repairable failure of the existing system.
The new system must be operational by 3 February 2025. A contractor has now been engaged and has commenced planning and procurement for the new system. Project completion is on track to meet the project deadline.
