Port Douglas Carnivale returns from 23 to 25 May, bringing together a line-up of ticketed events that showcase the region’s best food, entertainment and experiences.
The 2025 program combines the laid-back charm of Tropical North Queensland with an exciting calendar of live music, dining events and family-friendly entertainment.
Leading the program is Savannah Sounds, presented by Douglas Shire Council with major sponsor Newsport.
The three-day music festival at Rex Smeal Park opens on Friday night with a DJ-led Sounds
Party, followed by two days of live performances from international and Australian headline acts.
Saturday’s Beach Party and Sounds precinct will feature performances by Zoe Badwi, Andy Van, Jolyon Petch, Kairos Kin, Max Jackson, The Wolfe Brothers, Sheppard and The Black
Sorrows.
On Sunday, the Locals’ Day line-up will include The Katie Richards Band, Eddie Skiba, El Moth, Little Steely Brothers, Roadtrippers and Glenn Shorrock.
Adding to the ticketed line-up is Maho Magic Bar by Broad Encounters, offering an intimate Tokyo-style night out complete with magicians, cocktails and close-up illusions at Dixie Park.
Other highlights include Temple of Fire at Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort, the Italian Feast Under the Stars, a long table dinner celebrating Italian heritage and cuisine, the Port Douglas Carnivale Classic, a premier golfing event at Mirage Country Club, and the iconic
Longest Lunch, set along the palm-lined entryway of Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas.
Families can also look forward to Sea Circus Treasured Tales, a high-energy evening of fire dancers, aerial performers and circus magic at the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club.
Douglas Shire Mayor Lisa Scomazzon said the ticketed program offered something for everyone.
“This is one of many opportunities for visitors and locals to experience everything Carnivale has to offer this year,” Cr Scomazzon said.
“From major music acts to unique dining events and world-class entertainment, there is something for everyone to enjoy across the weekend.”
