The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be carrying out maintenance work on the Captain Cook Highway, Killaloe.
The works will involve high pressure water blasting of the road surface to improve skid resistance, enhancing safety and driving conditions for all road users. To reduce the impact on motorists, the works will be carried out at night between 6 pm and 6 am on Wednesday 30 July, weather and construction conditions.
For the safety of road users and maintenance crews, changed traffic conditions will be in place including temporary speed limit reductions, and single lane operation under coordination of traffic controllers or traffic lights while the works are carried out.
Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise associated with the works, such as the sound of trucks, light machinery and vibrations while the work is carried out. The contractor will take all reasonable and practical actions to minimise impacts.
