It wasn’t on the itinerary but this journey back to Port Douglas will provide these holiday makers with a travel story to share for years to come!

The extraordinary flooding of the Daintree River had left them at on the northern side with no way back.

Council enlisted the help of Ocean Safari to ensure these visitors could find their way back to Port Douglas and get on with their travels! Daintree residents, stuck on the southern side, were on the boat’s return journey.

Ocean Safari says the atmosphere at Cape Tribulation remains one of positivity.
Another shuttle run has been organised for tomorrow, Sunday 8 March.

More details to come on our transport plans for the community.
