RLQ Network
The Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) and Indigenous Knowledge Centre (IKC) network operates as a partnership between State Library and rural and remote local government authorities in Queensland. By sharing a common catalogue of more than 300,000 items, every resident of RLQ councils and IKC communities can view real-time location and availability data on all physical collections
Public PCs and Study Spaces:
- There is free wi-fi, powerpoints and desk spaces available at both locations
- Mossman: 8 Public PCs available
- Port Douglas: 4 Public PCs available

Mossman Library Meeting Room
Mossman Library has a private meeting room available for hire. Contact the library for details.
Physical Local History Collection:
The Local History collection is housed at Mossman Library. The collection includes books, photographs and ephemera on the history, culture, environment and development of the Shire as well as locally authored and published material. For more information visit our Local History Page.
Historical Photo Archive:
Accessible at home, view a large collection of local historical images. Sort by place or category.
Home Library Service
Douglas Libraries now offer a home library service. The service involves the drop off and pickup of library items to aged facilities and vulnerable persons. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.
