Stage 2 of the decorative lighting project on Macrossan Street will start on Monday, April 7.
Throughout the week, up to 16 trees will be decorated, with the work expected to finish early the following week. This installation takes place on the East end of Macrossan Street and will extend the decorative lighting to more retailers and boost the night-time economy.
FNQ Traffic Control will manage pedestrian and traffic flow during this period.
Local contractors will complete the electrical connections to Ergon Energy’s infrastructure, having installed above-ground turrets at the base of each tree earlier this year.
