Douglas Shire Council advises that line marking works will be undertaken in Port Douglas and Mossman from Monday 3 August to Wednesday 5 August 2026, weather permitting.
The works will involve repainting road line markings and pavement lettering to improve road safety and visibility.

What to Expect
Traffic control will be in place while contractors complete the line marking works.
Road users may experience:
- Minor traffic delays
- Temporary lane or parking restrictions
- Reduced speed limits through work areas
Please follow the directions of traffic controllers, observe all signage and exercise caution when travelling through the work zones.
Tropic Court Residents
Residents of Tropic Court, Port Douglas are requested to remove vehicles from the cul-de-sac before works commence to allow for the removal and replacement of the existing solid yellow line.
