Passenger ferry transfers will continuously operate from 6am to 6pm. The passenger bus service will operate by time table. This service is free for locals and resupply. The passenger ferry service may be interrupted unexpectedly to accommodate essential works for the Daintree Ferry. 

School student transfers

Morning Run: Meet the passenger ferry at 7:45am on the north side of the river. FNQ buslines will transfer students to school from the south side of the river.

Afternoon Run: FNQ Buslines will deliver students to the passenger ferry at approximately 3:30pm

Community members

SR Coaches will operate transport between Lower Daintree Boat Ramp, Mossman and Port Douglas. see the timetable below.

No bookings required, both the bus and ferry has a capacity of 50 passengers.

Parking and drop off arrangements on the North side of the river

There is not enough room for vehicle parking on the northern side.

  • If you are dropping off a passenger only, you will be able to queue as normal for a drop-and-go arrangement.
  • If you need to leave your vehicle, parking will be available at the Rural Fire Service shed on Forest Creek Road.

Shuttle service from Forest Creek Road

Daintree Discovery Tours will provide a shuttle service between the Rural Fire Service shed on Forest Creek Road and the northern ferry access point, operating as required between 6:00am and 6:00pm.

This service is for community members who have parked at Forest Creek Road and need transport to and from the ferry landing area.
