Kerb & Channel Program – Survey and excavations
Douglas Shire Council advises that its contractor will be undertaking kerb and channel survey works, followed by excavation and reseal works, at three locations in Mossman and Port Douglas.

When
Works are scheduled to start from Saturday 28 March 2026, weather permitting.
Survey works will commence first, with each site progressing through the various stages of the project through to completion.
Works across the three locations will overlap at different stages, from survey through to final completion.
The overall program is currently expected to be completed by Sunday 7 June 2026, subject to weather and site conditions.
What to expect
Residents and road users can expect:

traffic control in place while works are underway

some short delays to access at times

temporary changes to on-street parking and road conditions during works
Action required
Please remove all vehicles, caravans, boats and trailers from the street before works commence to allow the contractor to undertake the works safely and efficiently.
