Council is continuing improvements to the Flagstaff Walking track, with safety upgrades now moving into the second stage.
During stage one, contractors installed safety handrails along sections of the track, with works completed without any closures.
Stage two involves installing handrails along the long staircase at the northern end of the track. Due to the nature of this work, a partial closure is required to ensure community safety.
Closure details:
- Location: Northern end of the track – staircase section
- Dates: Monday 1 June to Friday 12 June 2026
- Access: This section of the track will be closed during these dates
