Services Australia has activated the Disaster Recovery Allowance for people who have lost income as a direct result of the Queensland rainfall and flooding event that occurred from February to March 2026.

Douglas is included on the list of eligible Local Government Areas. Eligible people have until 19 September 2026 to make a claim.
