Learn how to use a person-centred approach when developing emergency preparedness plans.
In partnership with Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Council is inviting people who work with or care for people with support needs to attend an education event on Thursday 23 November 2023, from 10am to 1pm.
This event focusses on your role and responsibilities, and Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP), which is a practical process for ensuring disaster plans are tailored to individual needs. P-CEP can help people with disability as well as people who are ageing at home, have a mental illness, a chronic health concern, and other support needs.
The event is suitable for support workers, carers, case managers, community workers, healthcare workers, mental health workers, family members, community volunteers and students studying any of these fields.
