OPENING CEREMONY & NAIDOC MARCH
Hosted by the Douglas Shire Indigenous Events Committee and Douglas Shire Council
Join us for the NAIDOC Opening Ceremony at 9am on Monday July 12 at the Douglas Shire Council Administration Building, Front St Mossman.
The ceremony will be opened with a Welcome To Country, Smoking Ceremony, Mayor’s Speech, Flag Raising Ceremony, and guest speakers.
Following the ceremony, at 10am, will be the NAIDOC March to George Davis Park.
NAIDOC IN THE PARK
From 11am join us for NAIDOC in the Park.
The event will include a sausage sizzle, various sporting games for kids, food vans, market stalls, Traditional Kuku Yalanji Dancers and Torres Strait Islander Dancers, live entertainment and more!
