Sydney Writers’ Festival brings together a broad and engaged community around the sharing of books, writing and ideas.

Mossman Library will be live streaming programmed speakers at the Sydney Writer Festival as they share conversations, debates, performances and panel discussions.

Thursday 25 May 

  • 10am – 11am: Jane Harper | Internationally acclaimed crime writer Jane Harper discusses Exiles, the thrilling novel following investigator Aaron Falk, with Michaela Kalowski.
  • 12pm – 1pm: Richard Fidler | Radio host and author Richard Fidler delves into the book of Roads & Kingdoms, his account of medieval wanderers during Islam’s golden age, with Caroline Baum.
  • 2pm -3pm: Geraldine Brooks: Sheds light on her best-selling novel, Horse, in conversation with Nicole Abadee

Friday 26 May 

  • 10am – 11am: Geraldine Brooks, Pip Williams & Sally Colin-James | Share their insights in a panel events hosted by ABC RN’s Kate Evans.
  • 12pm – 1pm: Eleanor Catton | Booker prize-winning author of The Luminaries, Eleanor discusses her anticipated thriller Birmyn Wood with Beejay Silcox.
  • 2pm – 3pm: Michael Kirby & Bo Seo | Bo Seo and former high court justice Michael Kirby examine how to better listen and disagree with each other in an era of divisive public debate.

Saturday 27 May

  • 10am – 11am: Stephanie Alexander & Maggie Beer | Discuss a life in food.
