Sponsorship opportunities for community
A DOCUMENT outlining annual sponsorship opportunities in Douglas Shire will help businesses plan for their future community involvement.
The Douglas Shire Council Sponsorship Prospectus has been produced to encourage participation with Council-run events and projects.
It seeks to provide information on how to become a sponsor and encourage the community and businesses to present their own projects that Council may be able to assist with.

Cash injection for Chamber of Commerce
THE Douglas Chamber of Commerce (DCC) will receive $5000 to help towards ongoing operations.
DCC is an important industry association that advocates and supports for its business members in Douglas Shire.
Douglas Shire Council and DCC have partnered up to hold the Douglas Business Expo on March 6.
Council has also provided $8,000 in cash and over $6,000 of in-kind support towards the Douglas Business Expo.
Next Council Meeting moved
The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on March 10.
Councillors voted to change the date from March 3 and cancel the March 24 meeting to ensure a better use of council time and resources during the caretaker period.
