Helicopter Weed Surveys being conducted in the Mossman Gorge, Mossman township areas on the 29th and 30th of August.
Flights will be low altitude surveying Mossman Gorge, Mossman and South Mossman rivers/creek catchments and north to Finlayvale/ Santacatterina area.
Times are between 7.00am and 3.00pm on both days (weather permitting).
This is a joint operation between QPWS and Douglas Shire Council and is an annual survey for the invasive vine Hiptage benghalensis.
Hiptage benghalensis is an invasive weed species and is marked for eradication within the Douglas Shire.
