New Kerb & Guttering
Douglas Shire Council will shortly be replacing the kerb and channelling along Warner Street, on the southern side, from Wharf Street through to Grant Street.
Works will include:
- Removal of old kerbing and replacement with new kerbing the replacement kerbing will be layback kerb and channel
- Replacement of driveways if required
- Where required, industrial grade driveways will be installed which have 150mm concrete vs 100mm for residential and are slightly larger.
- Backfill behind new kerbing and new asphalt from new kerb to existing asphalt (match in)

Timeframe:
The project is expected to take eight weeks, and while we don’t have a confirmed start date, the aim is to finalise design by June 2025 and complete construction in 25/26.
We will liaise directly with traders closer to the time construction is planned.
Once a start date is confirmed, a second update will be issued.
