Lower Daintree Boat Ramp & Floating walkway
Important advice for boat ramp users
Douglas Shire Council on behalf of Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has partially removed the floating walkway. The damaged lower section of the walkway was deemed unsafe for use.
The replacement floating walkway is currently planned to be installed April-May 2026.
The remaining floating walkway section may be used on higher tides, alternatively the adjacent pontoon can be used for loading passengers.
