The National Association of Charitable Recycling Organisations (NACRO) will be working alongside the Department of Environment and Science to provide ongoing support for recycling charities in the lead-up to the waste levy commencement on 1 July 2019.
NACRO’s focus will be to provide support to eligible recycling charities, to understand their obligations in terms of the waste levy; and to assist them through the exemption application process, requirements and time frames.
NACRO is preparing to deliver a series of face-to-face workshops across the Queensland waste levy zone, as well as provide online information, and a dedicated email and phone service.
