Great news for the Daintree community – the Noah Creek Bridge has officially been restored to its previous 16-tonne load rating.

Crews recently worked overnight to install new, custom-made timber girders, a major milestone in the restoration project.

Bridge specialists have now approved the workmanship, allowing the 16-tonne load rating to be reinstated.

This upgrade is a vital step in restoring safe and reliable access for service vehicles, freight operators, tourism providers and residents across Cape Tribulation, Wujal Wujal and other Daintree communities.

Thank you to the community for your patience and to the crews who made this happen.

Meantime repairs have resumed on one of the remaining landslip sites at Site 6 on Alexandra Range.

Works are expected to be completed by 30 November 2025.
