A DUSTING of Christmas magic landed over Macrossan Street on Friday night as Santa made an early stop in the tropics.
With Mrs Clause by his side, and his elves close at hand, Santa took some relief in the air-conditioned Salt Water Commercial space on Macrossan Street. Little and big kids alike were delighted to meet the man in red, who posed for photos in his tropical cave.
Macrossan Street businesses kept their doors open and made the most of the Christmas cheer as people filled the street – shopping, dining, and soaking up the warm Christmas spirit.
Lynda’s music studio, together with Port’s own Alteouise, lined the steps outside Santa’s cave and captivated onlookers with Christmas carols and hymns.
With the latest Buy Douglas: Build Douglas campaign in full swing, it was a little icing on the cake to see the iconic Macrossan Street a-buzz with locals and visitors enjoying a tropical Christmas night, and supporting our local traders.
