Update: 22 May 2025
Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is undertaking resurfacing works at the Port Douglas boat ramp.
Change to access lane – effective Wednesday, 28 May 2025
From this date, please note the following temporary changes to access and facilities:
- Traffic will be redirected to a newly constructed boat ramp lane on the left-hand side of the facility during this phase of work.
- Please note, the floating walkway will be temporarily removed while construction occurs on the right-hand side lane. It will be reinstated once that work is complete.
- In the meantime, the nearby public pontoon remains available for picking up and setting down passengers. A 10 minute birthing limit is in place.
Please use extra caution around the worksite and closely follow directions from the contractor’s site supervisor.
If you have further enquiries, please contact the MSQ project team by email boatinginfrastructure@msq.qld.gov.au.
