Sand dredged from the Daintree River will be used to replenish the beach near Rocky Point this week.

Trucks will start loading, transporting and unloading 3500 cubic metres of sand on Tuesday, June 2.

There will be increased trucks movements on Mossman-Daintree Rd between the Daintree Ferry car park and Rocky Point boat ramp.

Residents may hear noise from plant and equipment operating on the beach to spread the sand.
