Douglas Shire Council has posted a Significant Procurement Activity for the Daintree River Ferry Contract on the LG Tender Box, advising it will soon be calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Daintree Ferry Contract.

An EOI is used as a step before a formal tender in order to help create market demand, better understand the market participants, gauge market interest, and solicit ideas and concepts to assist in the development of the formal tender.
It will help Council build a list of possible suppliers and to hear from the market about key aspects of the ferry service.
The report on the Daintree Ferry Contract Community Engagement Findings will be published next week.
