A FREE family fun day at the Mossman pool on Australia Day was all thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of Mossman.

Families were served up an epic Aussie sausage sizzle, complete with lamingtons and ice-cold drinks, while the Walker Brothers delighted the crowd with their signature tunes. Kids of all ages, including those young at heart, splashed away in the Mossman pool while families picnicked under the shade of trees on the lawn.

The AQUAGLIDE made its debut in the pool much to the squealing delight of the kids and Mossman Pool lifeguard, Monique, who couldn’t resist testing out the inflatable obstacle course for herself!

“We are so thrilled to have been able to host this event in Mossman,” said Jan Stokes, co-president of the Rotary Club of Mossman.

“We wanted to put this event on for our Mossman community on Australia Day – to give families the opportunity to enjoy their Australia Day to the fullest, without having to worry about how much it might cost,” she said.

“The day was made possible through funding from the National Australia Day Council, to help us celebrate 100 years of Rotary in Australia bringing communities together.”

“The team at Rotary couldn’t have been happier to see so many turn out and enjoy the day.  It was a wonderful celebration of our community.”
