Vital works that will connect the new Port Douglas Reservoir to the current water network will be undertaken tomorrow night.
Water services to Port Douglas. Craiglie, Mowbray and southern surrounds will be turned off overnight on Wednesday 14th March from 10pm until 3am the following day.
This is necessary to allow the new connection point to be established.
Residents and businesses can expect reduced water pressure and are requested not to use water during this period. The works are essential and no alternatives are possible.
These works are subject to unexpected weather events and may be postponed at short notice.
Residents and businesses will be re-notified of a new closure date if this occurs.
Douglas Shire Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
The Port Douglas Reservoir Project is jointly funded by the Australian Government, Queensland Government and Douglas Shire Council.
