Planned water supply interruption – Newell Beach area

Douglas Shire Council will undertake planned upgrades to sections of the water supply network in Newell Beach. These works form part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving water security and maintaining critical water infrastructure throughout the Shire.
The work will require a two-hour interruption to the water supply.
Affected properties
Properties along the following streets are expected to have no water during the works:
- Newell Road
- Marine Parade, up to Pacific Street
- Olive Street
- Rankin Street
- Cyril Close
Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to store enough water for essential use before the interruption.
Council appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while these important works are completed.
