As part of Queensland Small Business Month, Douglas Shire Council is delivering both in‑person sessions and an online learning program to support local businesses to adapt, recover and build resilience.

Business Ready Togther (In‑Person)
Business Ready Together sessions provide practical advice for real businesses and real challenges.

These sessions are also an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Business Ready Together – Douglas Shire program
  • Ask questions and get support
  • Get help registering for the online program

Attendance at a session is not required to take part in the program.

Six sessions available:

  • Port Douglas, Port Douglas Community Hall | Wednesday, 6 May | 7:30 – 8:30 AM
  • Craiglie, Teamster Park | Thursday, 7 May | 7:30 – 8:30 AM
  • Mossman, Beechwoods Cafe | Friday, 8 May | 7:30 – 8:30 AM
  • Daintree Village, CrocXpresso | Monday, 11 May | 9 – 10 AM
  • Cow Bay, Daintree Discovery Centre | Tuesday, 12 May | 10:30 – 11:30 AM
  • Cape Tribulation, Turtle Rock Cafe | Tuesday, 12 May | 2:30 – 3:30 PM

Business Ready Together – Douglas Shire (FREE Online Program)
Douglas Shire Council encourages all local businesses to complete the Business Ready Together – Douglas Shire program.

The program is:

  • Free
  • Self‑paced
  • Designed for busy small businesses

What’s included:

  • 10 short (5‑minute) online modules
  • Practical business tools and worksheets
  • Peer learning videos
  • Online check‑ins and community conversations
  • 12 months access (April 2026 – May 2027)

Attend a session, do the program online — or both. The goal is for every local business to be Business Ready.
