Invitation to a Community Conversation – Degarra

This is an opportunity for residents to hear first-hand information about the progress of recovery arrangements. How road repairs are progressing, an update on the environmental clean-up and progress on the structural assistance grants. Officers will be there to answer questions and discuss the pathways towards rebuilding homes and lives.

Mayor Lisa Scomazzon will also be attending along with Councillors Abigail Noli and Damian Meadows. They will be accompanied by Council’s CEO Rachel Brophy and three senior Council officers. We have also arranged for disaster recovery specialist, David Younger to join the meeting.

David Younger, through a blend of storytelling, scientific findings, and real-life experiences will talk about common recovery challenges and provide tips and pointers to help people recover better.
