Dive into the Christmas spirit this festive season with the fourth annual Toy Dive at the Mossman Pool. This heartwarming event aims to fill the pool with toys for families in need, bringing joy and hope to children across the community.
We’ve started collecting donations already, the Toy Dive is a unique twist on the traditional toy drive, supporting local organizations such as the Douglas Shire Mayor’s Christmas Appeal, Mossman Support Services and Goobidi Bamanga CACS LTd, among others.
How to Participate:
Donate new, unopened toys suitable for children of all ages. Drop-off hours at the Mossman Pool are:
- Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
As a token of appreciation for your generous donation, the Mossman Pool team is offering a free swim. Don’t forget to pack your swimmers and towel when you come to donate.
We are accepting donations up until the Friday 20th December, so make sure you get in quick!
Last Year’s Success
Despite the challenges posed by Cyclone Jasper, the 2023 Toy Dive was still a tremendous success. The Mossman Pool team managed to donate a whopping 132 presents to families in need, helping to ensure that children in the community woke up to a gift under the tree on Christmas morning.
The Mossman Pool team has seen the need firsthand and is determined to give back to the community by brightening the holidays for families in need. With the support of the Douglas Shire community, the team is confident this year’s Toy Dive will make an even bigger impact.
